Why Alia Bhatt refused to give two hours to her makeup artist on the wedding day

Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in a simple and intimate ceremony at their house in April 2022. Alia has often spoken about how comfortable she was on her wedding day. Recently, she shared that her makeup artist asked for two hours to finish her makeup on her D-day, but she refused.
Speaking to Allure, a women’s magazine, Alia admitted to suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). She also shared that she doesn’t like spending a lot of time in the makeup chair and prefers her look to be “simple and accessible.”
“It needs to be something that you can do very quickly. I have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and don’t have an interest in investing too much time. Whatever needs to happen needs to happen fast,” said Alia, revealing she doesn’t spend more than 45 minutes in the makeup chair.
However, her makeup artist requested that she give him two hours on her wedding day. “On my wedding day, my makeup artist Puneet [B. Saini] was like, ‘Alia, this time you need to give me two hours.’ I told him, ‘You’ve lost it. Especially on my wedding day, I’m not giving you two hours because I want to chill,’” shared Alia.
Alia and Ranbir dated for almost five years before getting married in April 2022. Alia always wanted her wedding to be a candid and simple affair, and that was her brief to her wedding photographer as well.
In an earlier interview with Brut, Siddharth Sharma, founder of House on the Clouds, said, “With Alia, the brief was very simple: it is a very private affair, and she wants to keep it very personal, so the photographs and videos should be very personal, candid, and real. The picture of Rishi Kapoor was kept in almost every ceremony, as if he was present.”
Alia Bhatt is currently awaiting the release of her film Jigra. Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Vedang Raina.
